I just installed a P400 (with no drives attached) into my ML370 G5 and the ACU states:

347 The cache for Smart Array P400 in Slot 4 is not configured.

AND

267 There are no configurable physical drives attached to the current array controller.

I have not installed drives yet, so the 267 is true.

But what about 347? I see no way to configure cache settings. Is that by design?

hi,

That's normal behavior, the controller status change to enable only if there are logical volumes configured.
