It's informational only.
For instance, A new disk module is installed(removed), you'll see a message like "Disk at A3 is Online(Offline)" in the syslog.

Hope this helps,

I have been receiving the following entry in syslog:

syslog: HP Advanced Disk Array serial number 00000013D144: Array online: Product Revision: HP62: Product ID: C5447A

Is this only an informational message or is this an indication of something that needs to be further investigated?

Same here, typically I got a couple of these messages in syslog.log in a month. I do not think it's an error. On mine I get the same message as yours but with an extra message like this .. "multi-initiator lock obtained". You do want to run ..
# arraydsp -a <ARRAY-ID> | more
just to make sure everything looks good.</ARRAY-ID>
