We seem to have lost a drive. The drive in slot 11 shows as missing. Rebuild shows as failed. StorageWorks Command View on the status tab has the following in warning states: Redundancy Loss, Capacity Depletion, Rebuild Failed & Missing Drive. The array is setup for Raid 1+0. Just wondering what would be the best course of action. Change to AutoRaid and try the rebuild again. Replace the bad drive and let the server rebuild or something else. Any help would be appreciated.

Letting the array rebuild again after failing will cause data corruption and overwritting. Whil RAID 10 is fault tolerant up to half of the drives, if the same two drives from both raid0 sets fail, there's no way to rebuild the array just as it if were raid0.

You should treat the situation like a drive failing in RAID0 and either restore from backup after replacing any faoiled/unstable drives or contacting a proffessional data recovery lab if you don't have a validated, up to date backup and the data is valuable.

Example: www.raiddatarecovery.com

Thanks for the reply. The array currently has not failed, just one drive shows as missing. Can I just replace the failed drive and do a rebuild?

It ended up being a bad drive. Just replaced the drive, it reformatted it and rebalanced the array. Thanks for your help.
