Hello,

Is it possible to connect 4 D2700 to a Smart Array P411 with 512Mb cash.

i can't find any documentaion saying yes or not. We can connect 2 enclosures per port, HPE say 4 enclosure maximum.

How to do it ?

The p411 supports:

Up to 240TB of external storage per controller with 8 x HP D2700 Disk Enclosures and 200 x 1.2TB SFF SAS hard drives

Up to 200 TB of external storage per controller with 8 x HP D2700 Disk Enclosures and 200 x 1TBSFF SATA hard drives

The SA P411 is retired, so you should check as well the OS supported.

Good day!!

Technically you can conect 4 disk enclosures to the P411 controller with 512mb cache but that will over burden the controller as each D2700 enclosure supports 25 drives each.

Workaround that has been verified is to add a second P411 controller and connect just one D2700 to one P411.

We recommend not to cascade D2700 off a P411. Use a separate P411 for each D2700 enclosure.
