I installed a small fan on the heatsink of H240 and now temp is between 40-45C. I think a fan is needed at 109C does not seem ok.

So, this thread can be marked as self-answered and will save someone time.

Device Manager - Do you mean Windows Device Manager?

You can install HPE ProLiant Array Configuration Utility and enter settings from there

Thanks I will try that.

How will I be able to install Windows? I plan on using it for testing with SAS SSD drives in RAID 0 mode.

Ok, here is what I did.

1. There is no interface during boot to enter H240 setting. Use HPE SAA Smart Storage Administration.

2. One can do in Command Line Mode but I chose to use another HDD with Windows and do config from there.

So it is working on non-HP system

Question: This card has passive cooling with a plastic heat shield on it. I can see temp at 108C and the HS is extremely hot to touch. Is this normal? Why is this passive cooling?

Thanks.
