Hi all

We originally bought a BK782A which came pre-populated with 6 x 2TB LFF 7.2K 6G SAS drives.

Now we are looking for extra capacity and would like the 4TB drives . The quick specs doc I read C04111697 lists all the drives for the D2600 and D2700 from page 21, and they all include a heading which indicates if the disks are for the 2600 or the 2700. Unfortunately the disks I think I want don't indicate if they are for the D2600 or the D2700. Can anyone confirm if the highlighted line below (from page 22) will work with the D2600? Interestingly the first two lines say they are dual port, whereas the last three don't.

Extract from c04111697 v44

--

Gaz

Howdy Gaz!

The 693689-B21 (HPE 4TB 6G SAS 7.2K rpm LFF) is a Large Form factor (LFF) drive. The D2600 only takes LFF drives while the D2700 only takes Small Form Factor (SFF) drives.

I agree that the article does not specify whether it is supported for the D2600 or the D2700. The D2600 is LFF so it must only be supported in the D2600. Hope this makes sense.

Cheers!
/Kipp
