HP D3700 requirements for Control Encloser

Hi,

i have a question about the HP D3700,

Which Controller do i need where i can connect the Datacable from the D3700 to the Controler device. Like i have it currently with a some older system (HP D2000 MSA and D2700), or do i just need to have a DL XXX RackServer where a controller is implemented to connect to the D3700 and is there any special software which i need to connect to the D3700 which runs on 12G? Sorry have no clue about this D3700 but would like to understand how this works.

I was looking around in the net and many noted that there is no Controler enclosed like i have it currently running with the older system and is it worse it to change it while i am running on the D2000 ?

and is it worse it to change it ? D2000 vs D3700 , running Virtual Maschines on it.

The D3000 enclosures support direct attach storage to Gen10 and Gen 10+ ProLiant Servers with the HPE Smart Array Smart
Array E208e-p SR Gen10 Controller and the HPE Smart Array P408e-p SR Gen10 Controller including HPE Apollo and HPE
StoreEasy.

Hi Sudhir,

thank you for the answer thats good to know, can you also tell me how many of the 3700 can i connect together ? is there any limit ? if each 3700 fits up to 25 drives.
