Hello, we ordered a brand new MSA 2062(as a controller enclosure) and 3 MSA 2060(as a drive enclosure)

with 10k and 15k rpm disk drives.

2 x 1.92 Tb SSD SFF

8 x 900 Gb 15k SFF

21 x 900 Gb 15k SFF

12 x 1.8 Tb 10k SFF

48 x 1.8 Tb 10k SFF

How to populate and mix them correctly ?

Couldn't find best practice for that.

There are a number of ways to configure the system dependent on your needs. One thing to be aware of is that 'It is not advisable to mix 10k and 15k disks in a single disk group' I would also add it would be best to have the drives in different Pools. This is in the Storage Management Guide: https://psnow.ext.hpe.com/doc/a00105312en_us

The 2060 systems have a new RAID level called MSA-DP+ which will allow you to put all the 10k drives into one disk group and all the 15k in another disk group (Pool). You can then use the SSDs with a single drive as a Read-Cache on each Pool or as a 2 Drive Performance Tier (You purchased the 2062 which includes the Advanced Data Services license that will allow both Performance Tier and Standard/Archive tier in the same system).
The above is a General configuration which would be good for a wide variety of workloads but your needs may need a different configuration. ex. Write performance is best with a RAID10 disk-group (See Quickspecs for performance information)
