topic Replacing a failed H240 in Disk Enclosures

Hello! I have two H240 RAID controllers: one is running in the server, the other is on the shelf. Both have the same firmware version. Now let's imagine a situation when a working controller is out of order. Can I just replace it with a spare one by connecting all drives to it in the same order? Will the work with my volumes be fully restored in this case?

Hi,

Yes, you can replace a H240 controller with a same model/part number . The array configuration and metadata are on the disks, not the controller
