I have tried to get through the HP web pages but cannot find any reference to the correct Navigator CD, so I am not certain where you can get it from. We are looking through all our old Navigator CD's to see if we have one that mentions LM
cheers
malvin

I have an old nertserver LM. I'm working on getting the disk array working. I'm Pretty sure I have the controller and everything working, but It doesn't recognize the hard drives. I suppose it's possible that all five of the hard drives could be junk, but is there a way to find out for sure if they're any good? Thanks for the help

Do you know what kind of array controller you have in the server because if it is a NetRaid 1M you can use "CTRL+M" key stroke at boot time, otherwise if it is the Mylex derivative raid controller you will need the Netserver Navigator CD to run the array facility. Both of these methods will tell you if the discs are serviceable. Hope this helps
Malvin Drakley

Jake,

The LM series does not support booting from a CD. For this reason, you will not find a Navigator CD for it. The functtionality was provided by floppies and a configuration utility called SAM. I have included a few URL's so you can view what information is available. You may want to use the cposupport site to E-mail support and see if they can come up with a copy of the original floppies. You will find firmware updates, etc. on these URL's but I found no order location for the floppies.

HTH,

Dave

http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50455.html

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpn11960.html

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Resource.jsp?locale=en_US&taskName=setup%2C+install+%26+configure&taskId=8414&prodSeriesId=50455&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesName=hp+netserver+lm

Utility for configuring HP version of Mylex contgroler is called JetSet. It can be found on support site for older netservers. HP version of Mylex is called HP DAC (hp disk array controler). It is small utility which can be run from floppy disk. You have to know if you have EISA or PCI version of HP DAC and download appropriate version of JetSet.
