Hello,

Have you stopped/started the array daemon?

Check out man arraymgr also and look at the -s option.

Hope this helps

Chris
We had an autoraid go bad. It is supposed to be hot swappable, however. After putting the new disk in, it is still giving messages saying the old s/n is missing.
What commands do we use to get it to forget about the old array id and take in the new one?

If it's just a new disk you put in you must include it to the array.

It only autoincludes if the disk was not previously used.
arraycfg -i -a <SLOT> <SN>

See the man, 'cos it's been a while since I used that command..

You can also do it via the SAM gui or via the control pannel under disk changes, include disk.

Issue an arraydsp -a <SN> to verify its included/.

Later,
Bill

</SN></SN></SLOT>

Hi,

If this is a fibre channel array you'll need to use the fcmsutil utilities - specifically
fcmsutil /dev/tdX replace_dsk remote-N-Port-ID
where X=the td instance # & the ID of the drive.
do a man fcmsutil for further details.

HTH,
Jeff
