    <description>The battery backup unit is not part of the Storage Processor.  In this unit it will be in the rear of the unit behind the fans.  Be careful as the BBU is a bit heavy.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am not too surprised that you are seeing this failure as these are lead-acid batteries (i believe) and these arrays have been around a while.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The part number for the BBU for the Mod 30 array is A3231-69005.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can hotswap these, but do so only when you have the new part on hand as you cannot have the fans open for more than a few minutes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Bob</description>
