Hello,

Happens a lot with FC60s unfortunately... we have customers who shut them down "correctly" for a few hours for a scheduled room cleanup, only to find some harddisks failing to start. This after a clean shutdown, let alone a power failure.

Well, basically, powering down 2 out of 3 SC10s means that you have 2 out of 3 disks in LUNs becoming unavailable. That means that RAID cannot rebuild the data (in theory), since RAID levels in FC60 can only rebuild data when 1 disk is failed, not 2.

Definetely call HP for assistance on this one. Fingers crossed they can get your data back. I would suggest you get your latest backup handy.

HTH,
Vince

David,

The only solution that I know that will solve your problem is to place a support call with HP and have a service engineer repair the LUN's.

Leon
