3200 controller -- not apparent which firmware release.

I have HP survey utility results of several servers that I need to identify firmware release of the 3200 RAID Controllers. What group of information in the survey utility TXT files designates firmware release version?

Locate the Mass Storage entry. Below Mass Storage you find all storage controllers in the system. Locate the Firmware Version below Disk Controller entry with Drive Name equals cpqarray. This can either be Smart-2/P, Smart-2DH or Smart Array 3200. The Bus Architecture entry further down in the survey report will tell you exactly what controller you have installed in the system.

The example below is an integrated Smart Array controller with firmware version 1.42. The integrated Smart Array controller uses the cpqarry2 driver.

Peter, thanks for your quick reply that answers the question. However, on the flip side (software side) is there anyway to get from survey info. on the software driver version for the 3200 CPQ Smart array device driver -- CPQarray.sys? (Win2k/NT O/S)

I need to make sure several servers running 3200 controllers are running consistent driver and firmware sets.

And can I ask you a favor - I left message in the Insight Mgr forum around mid Feb. about being able to roll-up results from Survey tool of about 100 of our Compaq servers -- but I rec'd no answer/Reply. Could you comment? Thank You, Rob
