vxfs mount-options: mincache=???

Hi,

I've read in some posting that the best way to mount vxfs-filesystems used for Oracle is

for datafiles, indexes:
mincache=direct,closesync=direct,nodetainlog

for rollback-segs, temps:
mincache=dsync,closesync=dsync,nodetainlog

1. How about Redo-logs?
2. Why nodetainlog?
Found in HP documentation:
"A nodatainlog mode file system is approximately 50 percent slower than a standard mode VxFS file system
for synchronous writes."
3. Has async_disk_io turned on in init.ora file?
