I got the docs (thx janine) and while reading them i saw a reference to drive firmware.

Do I have to user particular drives, or will any do? And if any will do, do I have to upgrade their firmware in some fashion?

thanks,
Bill Lewis

I have just "inherited" some disk cabinets labeled storage/UE, storage/U1 and U2. I am not sure what these are, but have tried to connect a UE to a Mylex 2000 controller but am unable to see any drives in the bays.

Does anyone know what they are or where I can find out the limitations on the controllers? are there disk size limitations these arrays can handle?
