I have a raid card that is failing, on and off. How can I save the RAID config and migrate to a replacement card to keep my RAID 1 config?

Hi,
Array configuration is saved in disk,so if your array card failed, you can replace a new one,new array card can detect your server configuration from disk when server boot and initial array.
Regard
Thanks. I did that with a spare SMART 2 dh and it worked. However the system is still failing. Do you know if this swap is possible with any SCSI RAID controller or just the SMART Family. I do not know the reliability of the new card. I need to upgreade firware on the card I just put in, it is a very old rev. if it is still failing then i need to re-evaluate.
Hi,
If your original array card was Smart array 2DH,you can replaced by 2DH or newer, maybe 3200....., Remember set array controller order is first for boot in EISA Configuration.
Regards
