    <description>Inherently no. The new drive appears to the OS as free space and must be formatted.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What you want is partition expansion. With RAID 5 this may or may not be possible. Some have had luck some not in under RAID, with products from PowerQuest for NT and 2000 Server. ServerMagic and VolumeManager&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I want to add 2 HDD to a ML370 server equiped with a Smart array controller 431.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This server has already a RAID 5 created on the 431 controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I know That I can just plug this disk and then  having these disks striped in the RAID 5.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But is it possible to add these disks to an existing partition without breaking it ??</description>
