    <description>In model30, every slot in the array has its slot number, for example A1,A2,B1...&lt;BR /&gt;If disk drive failed, syslog would be like this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;===============================&lt;BR /&gt;High Availability array monitor&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unit Shutdown : A1&lt;BR /&gt;...................&lt;BR /&gt;...................&lt;BR /&gt;Refer to users guide and you can see where A1,A2,B1... is located in the array.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;If a disk in a raid 5 array fails , does it log any error in syslog file , If yes what is device name it mentions as i belive system recoginises lun's but not the individual disks. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ex.  a raid 5 lun with 9 disks in a model 30fc array.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>The OS will not log anything in syslog but the disk array should log the disk failure with the indication the disk that has failed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ovidiu</description>
