Hi,

We want to replace Smart Array 5312 controller with 642.
Servers are ML350/370 with Win 2000 Server operating system.

Any idea about the best way to this?

Hi Sener;

The best way to proceed is to install the 641 controller alongside the 5300, then run the CSP 6.30 to install the driver for it.

You can download the CSP from http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/17037.html

or autorun SmartStart 6.30 from Windows2000.

After the driver is installed, you can down the server, remove the 5300 and connect the drive cage to the 641 controller.
