Brand new ML530G2 equipped with a 5302/128 controller.
I connected the SCSI Cables going to cages 1 and 2 to the internal 5302 port.
As I boot I got the error:
1777 - Slot 1 Drive Array - Proliant Storage Enclosure Problem.
SCSI Port 1: Wide SCSI Transfer Failed - Check SCSI Cables.

I switched the Port 1 and Port 2 cables: same problem.
I disconnected Port 1, no problem

Since I find difficult to believe that two cables are broken in a brand new server, I wonder if this is a damaged controller.

I also updated the bios, to no avail

Andrea
