I have 2 DL580's with 3200 controllers. They are connected to a 4254 Duplex enclosure. I would like to configure the drives (11 total) into 2 partitions of 8 and 3 respectively. When I enter the ACU on the first system, I can only see 7 drives. Am I missing something or is a controller limitation?

Are you sure the 3200 controllers other port is functioning? Because by the way you described it you can see 7 drives and the enclosure is capable of 14 drives. Which is all the drives on one port.

The real deal is this the 3200 supports op to 14 drives per channel, the 4254 is a duplex cage meaning that drives are split 7 and 7 so the if both external ports of the 3200 are connected to both ports on the 4254 it should see all 14 or how many ever drives are in the unit. If you have 1 controller running 1/2 the cage and another controller running the other 1/2 then you cannot create a raid set between the controllers they are independant.
