XP512 backend transfer?

I realize this probably depends on many things, but can anyone tell me what acceptable numbers for backend transfers might be?

As you said: It depends!

The Crossbar of the XP512 can transfer up to 6400MBytes/sec.
Max real sustained backend performance to disk bypassing the cache with a fully populated array is:
- 840MB/sec
- 31'000 IO/sec

Find more details here:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/products/disk_arrays/xpstoragesw/performance/paper.pdf

Cheers
Peter
