Can't install command view

Can't install CommandView SDM for VA7410 (Ver 1.05.00)
I get errors.

Is there any software I need to install before I install SDM?

What are the errors you are getting? what Host are you installing the SW to?

No, you don't need storage area manager to install CommandView.

As asked before, what errors did you get? What problems are you having to do the install?

can't cut and paste errors now since have no remote access to machine.

the installation failed with errors
none of the filesets were selected and could not even to a disk analysis since the sw install didn't even get to that stage

i will have to post the error tomorrow

but I read this in the SDM readme file...
"HP StorageWorks CommandView SDM software works in concert with, and is
dependent upon, a subset of HP OpenView Storage Area Manager software."

I have the CD for CommandView SDM Version 1.06.01, and I don't find anything about OVSAM being necessary. On the contrary, I have installed CVSDM a couple of times without OV being present on the host.

Please post information about what kind of system you are installing this on (windows, linux, or hpux). Thanks!
