How are you trying to erase the media?
Try a workaround, open the RN (Recordnow SW) and then simulate the recording of data on the CD RW, the message this CD has allready data inside, would you like to overwrited, and thenyou say no and the RN eraser will erase the media.
Check if the media has no scratchs on it or dirt.
Regs,

I just purchased a dvd writer 300i and I cannot erase a cd/rw Memorex 700 mb disk that I previously used to record a Norton Ghost image. The cd recorder that I originally used was a LG drive. My operating system is XP pro, has lots of memory and the cpu is an Intel P4 1.4
