I have the same problem with my Hp 7200. I CAN'T WRITE CD-R, I'M BE ABLE TO
WRITE CD-RW ONLY. PLEASE HP SUPPORT HELP US ONE TIME FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem - when writing to CD-Rs the writing hangs at random times (usually in between tracks on an audio CD). Writing to CD-RWs is not a problem. I've tried 5 different types of media and none of them work but the CD-RW one. What is the problem?

I'd love to know too. I have just burned about 12 coasters trying everything I could think of with no success. Time to buy a Plextor maybe.

I would love to see HP's reply to this 7200 failure.

Has everyone downloaded and installed the firmware upgrade for this product? If not, do so. If yes, what OS are you using? The web page for the firmware is:
