    <description>You need software to write to it.  The driver for the drive is still the one that came in the OS.  No windows release has ever natively supported CD-RW drives; they all require third-party software.  You could try getting Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.  It used to be Adaptec Easy CD Creator, but they spun the software division off.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Lance</description>

      <description>Where can I find a driver for this CD r/w:  I bought it as a Compaq CD-RW with Compaq part number 237340-B30.  It was manufactured by NEC, and is a NEC NR-7800A.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have lost the install disk that came with it, and Windows 98 does not recognize it as a CD-rw, only as a CD-ROM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks &lt;BR /&gt;Jim</description>
