Retrieving Optical Media

To whom it may concern:

I have a need to recover digital engineering data from a CLIX based system designed by Intergraph. (CLIX is their variant of UNIX.) The data consists of raster and vector drawing files which reside on an optical jukebox. When Intergraph converted the data from version 1 (CLIX) to version 2 (NT), not all of the data was "converted". The conversion did not alter the format of the information, but changed the naming/storage convention and moved the files from one optical jukebox to another. (Although, the conversion routine reported that everything was converted, it was later determined that a bug in the conversion routine prevented the conversion of a significant portion of the data. Our group mainly needs the files themselves off of the optical disks, either using the existing file names or some other identifier. The data resides on 1GB Rewritable Optical Media disks made by Intergraph. Does your company have the capability to retrieve this type of data, and perhaps place on a more up to data format? If so, how much would something like this cost? We have approximately 40 disks that would require this type of conversion. Thanks in advance for your assistance. I currently have a similar requirement. We have some survey source code that was placed onto a number of floppy disks about 6 years ago on a Intergraph Interpro workstation running CLIX OS. The format at the time was CLIX UNIX formatted floppies that used to_flop/from_flop utilities. Of course we no longer have the CLIX or AIX operating systems and apparently these are the only stations that are capable of reading the data - unless I am mistaken. Appreciate to hear your resolution and would appreciate if you could pass on the information that may be helpful in my case. Thanks in advance!
