Hi,

If you try to post them on a newsgroup, and you don't have access on them, it means that they are read protected, but I suppose they are not.

If you are on U*X-like, do a

chmod 600 <FILE>

On Windows, right click on the files and go to Properties. Somewhere there you should have some checkboxes with the current file attributes and you can set/unset read write and so on privileges on them.

E.

</FILE>

I have a 9150i that I use to burn jpgs onto a disk for storage for later use. I can then "drag" these images back onto my hard drive when i need them. Here is the problem:

After "dragging" these images back to my hd, these images become write protected I think. When I try to post these jpgs to a newsgroup, I get the message: ACCESS DENIED

Are they write protected once they are burned to a cd??
If so, how to avoid this??
How do I "unwrite protect"

thanks

P.S. This thread has been moved from Disk to Optical Jukeboxes & Drives. -HP Forum Moderator
