Thanks for the tip, but I've already tried disabling/uninstalling the other programs Fabio. I've also disabled the IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service from within the Administrative Tools Service in WinXP. Still same problem.

I'm using a CD-Writer Plus 9350i on a WinXP system. I downloaded the HP RecordNow, HP DLA and HP SimpleBackup softwares that are compatible with XP. RecordNow and DLA work fine but SimpleBackup keeps on telling me that there are problems with the media used (either damaged or corrupted) I ended up with a whole box of CDRWs turned into coasters. I tried slowing down the recording speed and eliminating all TSR programs. Anyone had this happened or know how to fix it? Please help

Edgar

Try to use only Simple Backup.
Uninstall the Record Now and DLA softwares to see if you'll have this problem again.

Rgds

Fabio
