Anybody ever see one of these? It's recognized as a SCSI device, there is no listing on hp's site and no native driver support in Windows. So do I have a paper weight or something I can use? My guess is it's just ram but it doesn't act like it. It says it meets Canadian interference regulations....

This card is used to connect a HP CD player to an external cd drive using a cable, in my case the HP CD-Writer Plus, multi-read cd-rw drive. The card/driver comes up as a "PCMCIA Interface Card Driver (CardBus)". I am almost certain a CD or floppy had to be included with the cd drive for installation. Unfortunately I dont have it as this is a used unit. It wont do you much good without the cd drive so it's probably worthless, but I'd try to sell it on ebay to someone who's card got lost.....

The drive should be an M820e. The drive is a SCSI device but the PC Card is just a simple PCMCIA-SCSI adapter. Drivers should be on the HP page under M820e drivers. Or call tech support and they can send you a CD.

Brian
