    <description>I had a similar problem and found that Microsoft has a fix for run-time automation errors at &lt;A href="http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=249388" target="_blank"&gt;http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=249388&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just do a search on your particular error code and download their patch.</description>

      <title>RecordNow RunTime Error</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have an external HP DVD 200e in a P4 2.4Ghz PC running windows XP Pro SP1.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The RecordNow software worked find however when I try to run the software I recieve the following Run Time Error&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"run-time error '-2147023898 (800703e6)':&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Automation Error&lt;BR /&gt;Invalid access to memory location.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have replaced the RAM twice and completely uninstalled the software and drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As far as I am aware the only change to the system has been upgrading XP Pro to Service Pack 1.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help would be appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ian&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Ian,&lt;BR /&gt;please do not touch hardware, it's purely software problem. Something got uninstalled/reinstalled during SP1 installation. Maybe this program uses some updated DLLs which handle its requests incorrectly.&lt;BR /&gt;I do not think we'll find this dependency not knowing where it exactly is. Would you mind to reinstall whole system with SP1 and then install DVD software from the scratch?&lt;BR /&gt;Did you try contacting software developers?&lt;BR /&gt;Eugeny</description>
