Yes, you can convert an mp3 to a .wav file, and then convert it to 16 bit, 44khz stereo that your cd is.

I've used soundforge in the past. Also, you may just want to try a different cd recording program. (EZ CD Creator has worked ok for me)

I have gotten this error message:

The specified file cannot be recorded to the CD because it is not in the correct format. For all audio files, MP3 and WAV files must be recorded as 16-bit stereo files using a 44.1KHz sampling rate.

I have downloaded music mp3 files from the Net, and they play perfectly on my PC, but CD-Writer refuses some of them with the above-mentioned error.

I have an HP 8220e CD-Writer. Is it possible to change the format of the mp3?
