I have an external DAT72 SCSi I want to hook up to a Dell poweredge server. What is the recommended adaptec adapter for this deive?
I have tried a 29160 but it doesn't see the drive.

The 29160 looks like the right interface. Check all your cabling and connections again. Does the OS see the 29160 alone without the tape drive connected?

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I finally pulled an adapter from an unused Compaq server. Saw the tape drive as soon as I turned the box on. It's a Compaq 532 controller. I was more than a little leery about that, but it worked the first time. Loaded the latest controller drivers and ran a test O.K.
