HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 SAS Tape Drive. HP Tape Tools does not see it in Windows

Using Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit with drivers for the tape drive from 2013.

So I am working with a company that uses this older tape drive as a backup for client files. It has worked for years no problem.

Lately I have had an issue with some backup sofware and the backup software company stated before they can help me further I need to run the Diagnostics in HP Library and Tape Tools.

The software installed just fine but it does not see the drive under the webgui. It connects to the server at http://localmachine:6055/webltt.html so I know the service is running but it does not see the drive. I tried manually typing in 127.0.0.1 as the address. Also the ip addess of the machine and also the network name of the machine. None of these works.

I cannot see any information in the documentation for L&TT that would explain this.

The tape drive installed and I can see it in the backup software and use it it to make backups just fine. Just the L&TT doesn't see it.

Does anyone know what might becausing this? Been in IT for 20 years but my experience with tape drives is lacking.
