    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I found the solution for this matter, but i am not sure this is the proper way.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just edited config/dpdevice.ini and increase the timeout default settings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;[class.scsi]&lt;BR /&gt;disableSecurityProtocol=Yes&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;timeoutImmediate=600000&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; ; immediate commands (30 sec)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;timeoutCommand=600000&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; ; general i/o commands (1 min)&lt;BR /&gt;timeoutShortMove=600000 ; short move commands (10 min)&lt;BR /&gt;timeoutLongMove=1200000 ; long move commands (20 min)&lt;BR /&gt;timeoutLongErase=14400000 ; long erase commands (4 hours)&lt;BR /&gt;maxCommandRetry=10 ; number of times a command will be&lt;BR /&gt;; retried when a bus error is detected&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It running successfully.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a ML 350G5 with a HP DAT USB 160 TAPE DRIVE.Backup software HP data protector.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Everytime put a tape and try run backups I get this message "Error 4027: Device timeout - Data "&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please need help&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thaks&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Dear friend&lt;BR /&gt;u can increase the value in glbal option file&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#/etc/opt/omni/options/global&lt;BR /&gt;SmWaitForDevice&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try with increasing this variable value&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it will fix the issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks and regards &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sajjad Sahir</description>

      <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;Search for the below on the server:-&lt;BR /&gt;: Folders like 'Config' ; 'server' ; 'Options' or &lt;BR /&gt;: Files like 'global'&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The above should exist if you are using Data Protector. Check where its Data Protector Express instead of Data Protector.</description>

      <description>I have same problem.&lt;BR /&gt;Not sure about all the suggestions as I can't find that variable to alter in my SBS 2003 system as well.&lt;BR /&gt;Some have the windows equivalent inorder to overcome this problem?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>

      <description>HI,&lt;BR /&gt;We have the same problem with Windows 2008 64 R2, HP Storagework DAT160 SAS and HP Data protector 5. Storagework and disks mirorred are connected on the same SAS controler card.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
