I have a TapeLibrary (SCSI Ultrium Tape Library 1760 1 LTO-4 HP MSL 2024) with the following error:

HE: slider blocked: Error Code: 8A 61

how can you fix?

In case of mechanical problems there is not a lot you can do. Try a power cycle. If this doesn't help, the chassis needs to be replaced. There are no other mechanical spare parts available.

hi,

you can try to run the Wellness test from the OCP or RMI of the library and see if that through any more errors. If that does then you will have to contact HP support as this can be a hardware issue.

We had the same problem turns out the cross beam just in front of the tape drive was bent, Tech straighten bar running great now. You could see the bent bar after the tape drive was removed.
