Here's a guess.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
You installed colorado backup that has the driver installation package included. &lt;BR /&gt;
You installed the driver package, which is for the external drives, and that is causing the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
You should just be able to click on the 'device' in the device manager and then select 'remove'. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
You are quite right, an internal device doesn't require it.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>I have reinstalled my Hp 5gb under Win98SE; this is an internal drive. I am getting, under device manager, a message that the "Shuttle EPAT External ATAPI Adapter for Win9x." is missing drivers or not setup. Since I am using an internal drive, is this neccesary, and if so what is the fix?</description>
