They are connected via a 5300 SCSI adapter to a DL380 running W2k with all fixes. I've installed the newest firmware on both the drive and the library. <BR />When I try to backup data, I get the following errors: <BR /> <BR />(Event Viewer): <BR />The device, \Device\Tape0, is not ready for access yet. <BR />(afterwards): <BR />The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Scsi\adpu160m1. <BR /> <BR />and in the backup software (Veritas Backup Exec 8.6): <BR />Storage device "COMPAQ 1" reported an error on a request to write data to media. <BR />Error reported: <BR />The semaphore timeout period has expired. <BR /> <BR />Has anybody the same problem or, even better, found a solution???
