topic DLT70e problem in StoreEver Tape Storage

I'm having trouble with my DLT70e drive. It loads the tape properly, but then makes noises and the "use cleaning tape" light starts to blink. However, using a cleaning tape does not help. I'm unable to reaD/write from/to the tape. What should I do about this?

Hello,
these noises indicate that drive is calibrating its heads. Plese try with new (just unpacked) HP DLT IV data tape C5141F and new cleaning tape C5142A. If these new tapes will not work then diagnose drive/tapes with HP LTT available from http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html to see what it will recommend. If you wish you can attach LTT generated support ticket to your next reply
Hi Wik,

Eugeny is right, but if you pb persists, I advise you to log an HW call to your HP maintenance office.
