    <description>I have observe a problem like yours, but with Windows 2000 Server and DDS3 tape. The problem was the tape backup software used. An old version of BackupExec. When the tape start the backup, he never stop the process and the program thread stayed alive, my temporary solution was to stop service (end process) each day and my final solution was to use newer version on backup software.</description>

      <description>i am using dds2 tapes (c5707A). i am not able to use the tapes not more than one time. my os is novell 4.2. moreover, before using my tape drive, i need to recycle the power,other wise my dirve dosn't dedect the media.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
