I have internal autoloader, but in system (win 2k advanced server) HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools recognize my device like HP C5713A. NOT like autoloader, like stand alone only.

Maybe somebody have some ideas?
Thank You!

While I try to fix the problem I disconnect DAT40x6 from server and connect to my work computer. Windows XP Pro automatically detect MYLEX AcceleRAID 160 SCSI Controller and automatically detect tape device like "HP C5713A SCSI Sequential Device".

But HP StorageWorks still detect my autoloader like single Tape Device. I cannot update firmware or change something.

Hope big guru can help :)

Make sure you have LUN support enabled on the SCSI controller

The DAT autoloaders utilize 2 SCSI LUNs to address the drive and the autoloader. The drive is at LUN 0, and the autoloader is at LUN 1.

If your HBA does not support LUN mode addressing (or it is disabled), then you will only see the drive (LUN 0).

As Lewis mentions, you may need to enable LUN mode addressing.

> Windows XP Pro automatically detect MYLEX AcceleRAID 160 SCSI Controller and automatically detect tape device...

Note that most RAID controllers do NOT support SCSI LUN addressing, so you may need a different HBA.

Look at www.hp.com/go/connect to identify the supported HBAs for your DAT autoloader.
