    <description>Hi, I have just installed my Storageworks DAT 40 internal tape and when I run the "HP Storageworks Library And Tape Tools, Installation Check", the SW doesn't find any device. Neither in the "full" program, it doesn't find anything in ASPI, anything in Miniport.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If I run the Backup SW of Windows 2003, the unit "sometimes" fail. I have backed up 7 times and 3 times it finished with no problems, but the other 4 it appears the messages "Hardware Error"&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
What can I do? Any way to discover what's wrong?&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>And more thing, today the Clean LED is fixed On (yellow) and the Tape LED is Off.&lt;BR /&gt;If I try to insert a tape, the unit eject the tape (data or cleanning)</description>

      <description>Alfredo,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Clean the drive with a valid cleaning cartridge (insert the media 5 times in a row). This should clear the cleaning light and bring the device to ready state.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If possible, power cycle the drive. There are a couple of reasons why LTT is unable to detect the device.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Device not ready&lt;BR /&gt;- RSM is enabled, &lt;BR /&gt;- Backup application running, etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Before initiating LTT, check if the device is in ready state. Confirm Device Manager lists the drive under Tapes&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then, perform an hardware scan.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Run the below tests to get a better understanding on the hardware error&lt;BR /&gt;- Drive Assessment Test&lt;BR /&gt;- Device Analysis&lt;BR /&gt;- Device Self Test&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;All test should pass without warnings or errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If there is a problem, upload the support ticket.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;LTT Support</description>
