Drive replaced? You mean one of the tapes or the entire row with 20 tapes?

Up until now it has worked just fine, with 000-017 always in the library, and 018 as the one I change each week (using the mailslot).

We are using Veritas BackupExec 8.5 with Win2k Server.

You say "error 3014 is generally a drive misalignment". I had tape 000 show up in Backup Exec as "unknown media", so I removed the media. Could it be that the first tapepossision 000 it now empty? IIRC the error (3014) appeared before or at the same time the tape was marked unknown, but I'm not 100% sure.. I haven't had time to look into it since last time either.. Have sceduled some time on wednesday though.. so any suggestions are appreciated.
