      <title>Data Protector Error 1040</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Error 1040: No devices specified or all devices are now offline&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt; version v3.5 sp2. when trying to erase/format both the virtual library or the tape device. &lt;BR /&gt; The data in the devices seems invalid. but impossible to format.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt; when we start a job, it finishes with this error&lt;BR /&gt; Error 1004: Invalid object ID&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>hello,  &lt;BR /&gt;we are running suse linux ent 9 and the device that is supposed to be failing is the virtual library (hard disk).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;anyway , after the lack of ideas , we completly reinstalled the software from 0. now it works again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
