topic Data Protector and Sharepoint in StoreEver Tape Storage

Where do I look to find info on how Sharepoint 2007 backup/restore works. I need detail on what level Sharepoint is backed up (file system only or item detail). Can I restore an individual document with Data Protector?<BR />
Is a Sharepoint backup just a SQL Server backup or ??
