topic Error 131 instance is not licensed in HPE StoreEver Tape Storage
We have installed a new tape library, removed the old one altogether (deleted form the device tab). However the new drive appears as offline and initializing the library does not work.

It appears to me as if the license is still attached to the old drive.....how can I release the license back to to license pool?

thanks
I also get 131 errors on a new install of DPE.
It fails any bak & trn files even though they are not within a SQL instance.

Is this normal ?

Chris
Sorry to mislead previous post.

DPE has actually backed up bak & trn files on other servers.

It's just that these are the only files on the server in question so it looked that way.

The issue therefore is why DPE suddenly considers this server as unlicensed when earlier backups were OK.

Thanks again.

Chris
