    <description>Hi ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am using a External DAT 24 drive ( HP Surestore DAT24) and it gives an critical error :&lt;BR /&gt;(Error code is attached with this message)&lt;BR /&gt;The tapes we are using are newly purchased ones. (Hp DDS-3 , p/n : C5708A)&lt;BR /&gt;Can anybody help me on this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Kokila&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is not a critical error. Tapeware gives the following description:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"During a tape read operation a filemar was encountered. This is a normal operation and ordinarily this "error" is not reported. If you have gotten this error check that the operation was one that would report this error".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I guess this means that check if you got this during a read operation... &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd suggest to update your Tapeware. Latest service pack can be downloaded from &lt;A href="http://www.tapeware.com." target="_blank"&gt;www.tapeware.com.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this doesn't solve the issue and if your backups fail in addition to this, there's also a user forum in tapeware.com, I'd advise to post the question there as well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Arimo</description>
