      <description>a DLT 2000 ???&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;These are nearly as old as me....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If your using HP-UX, you can check as to whether the hardware is recognised by the system:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -fn&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it is, try first some generic types of backups like tar to make sure the drive is working. Are you using the correct type of tape?</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What tapes are you using?  Newer DLT4 tapes (black) are not compatible to a DLT2000.  You must use a DLT3 tape, grey in colour.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Vince</description>
