    <description>Thanks for the bit of info but I have a question for you? Was that fix on a DL380 system or a 1850r system. The reason for the ? There are different motherboard architectures. A fix may work on one type of system but not on the other? Can you give me more info?</description>

      <title>More infomation on  " SCSI controller not starting for DLT drive"</title>

      <description>I download sp10754.   &lt;BR /&gt;Then fallowed the steps below.   &lt;BR /&gt;   &lt;BR /&gt;1. Start/setting/control panel   &lt;BR /&gt;2. Tape device   &lt;BR /&gt;3. Add/Have disk ........selected the path were the files are located.   &lt;BR /&gt;4. rebooted the machine.   &lt;BR /&gt;   &lt;BR /&gt;Once the server has been restarted and I logon to the server I recieved a message that a service has failed to start. The following is from Event viewer:   &lt;BR /&gt; The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:    &lt;BR /&gt; cdlt7n4i    &lt;BR /&gt;   &lt;BR /&gt;I'm very frustrated ....can anyone help!</description>

      <description>The DLT drive is a 35/70 and its attached to a dl380 and I also have another server 1850r that is using the same type of DLT drive expiencing the same problem.</description>

      <description>I had same problem. Fix was to uninstall the compaq scsi drivers (cpq32fs2), uninstall tape driver, then reinstall in the reverse order, ie tape driver then compaq scsi driver.</description>

      <description>That fix was for the 1850R and it is attached to a TL891 Library.  Good Luck!</description>
